This journal "Psychologie de l'Interaction" concentrates on presenting empirical work in any area of human interaction. The special brief of the journal is to advance understanding of human symbolic processes, so there is a strong emphasis on theory-driven research, the development of new theoretical models in communication, dialog and conversation, or cognitive processes, and the development of innovative methods for observing, measuring, formalizing and communication behavior. The journal has a broad social and cognitive-science focus, so should appeal to researchers and scholars in cognition and social behavior mainly from psychology (for instance social psychology, developmental psychology, psychopathology), and secondarily from philosophy, pragmatics, linguistics, logics, and neuroscience, as well as areas of communication science. Review, theoretical, and methodological papers are also welcome, but the main thrust of the journal is on presentation of the best empirical research in the field. Major topic areas for the journal include language and social interaction. The journal's editorial board is international and multidisciplinary. Psychologie de l'Interaction is published four times per year or twice a year (two double thematic occurrences).
