Dieser vierte Band in der Reihe "Yearbook of Young Legal History" enthält Texte der Präsentationen, die beim 14. jährlichen "Forum of Young Legal Historians" im Jahr 2008 in Pécs vorgetragen wurden. Die Konferenz konzentrierte sich auf die wichtigen Wendepunkte, die im letzten Jahrhundert in der Geschichte beinahe aller europäischen Länder beobachtet und als mögliche Auslöser immenser und radikaler politischer, rechtlicher, kultureller und wirtschaftlicher Veränderungen betrachtet werden konnten.
Die Teilnehmer der Konferenz stimmten überein, dass die wichtigsten Faktoren, welche die Regeln menschlicher Koexistenz bestimmen, Recht, Kultur, gesellschaftliche Traditionen und Religion sind. Blättert der Leser in den Seiten dieses Bandes, dann wird er schnell bemerken, dass nicht nur Rechtshistoriker Artikel beigetragen haben, sondern auch junge Forscher, die sich mit dem römischen Recht beschäftigen.
Diese Foren und die damit verbundenen Bände sind Beweis für deren Einfluss auf ihre jeweiligen Forschungsfelder und ein Beispiel für die wirksame und fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit, die auch in den kommenden Jahren fortgeführt werden sollte.

À propos des auteurs
Zsuzsanna Peres studied law at the Faculty of Law at the university of Pécs. Since 2001 she works as assistant lecturer at the Department of Legal History at the Faculty of Law, University Pécs. She is currently writing her PhD dissertation about the implementation of the fideicommissum to the Hungarian Law of successions in the second half of the 17th century. Krisztina Korsósné Delacasse studied law at the University of Pécs.
She worked for two years as judicial trainee at he Court of Law of County Zala and since 1997 she works at the Department of Legal History. She is currently writing her PhD dissertation about the formation and practice of the Hungarian bar in the second half of the 19th century. Szalbolcs Hornyák studied law at the University of Pécs. He is currently assistant lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and writing his doctoral thesis about the crimes offending the public imperturbability.
Botond Juhász was between 2005-2008 a PhD-student at the Department of Legal History at the Faculty of Law, University Pécs. He is currently working as legal trainee at a law firm.
