Biographie de Mark Behr
Mark Behr was born in Tanzania in 1963 and grew up in South Africa. His debut novel "The Smell of Apples" won South Africa's biggest literary prize, the M-Net Award, as well as the Eugene Marais Prize and the CNA Literary Debut Award. In the United Kingdom the book was shortlisted for the Steinbeck Award and the Guardian Fiction Prize, and received the Betty Trask Award. In the USA the novel won the Art Seidenbaum Award from the Los Angeles Times.
Lauded by critics throughout the world and translated into numerous languages, "The Smell of Apples" is recognised as a South African classic.
