Biographie de Dashiell Hammett
Dashiell Hammett (1894-1961) was born in St Mary's County, Maryland. After spells at various mental jobs, he became an operative of the Pinkerton Detective Agency. His experiences as a private detective laid the foundation for his writing career. His work includes Red Harvest (1929), The Glass Key (1930), The Thin Man (1934) and some eighty short stories, mostly published in Black Mask magazine.
