Biographie de Sherman Alexie
Sherman Alexie was born in 1966. He is a Spokane Indian and grew up on the Spokane Indian Reservation in Wellpinit, Washington. In spite of having been born hydrocephalic, he soon showed all the signs of being particularly gifted. He left the reservation school and graduated from Reardan High School in 1985. After first planning to become a doctor, he realized at university that his real gift was for writing, and since then has published several volumes of poetry and short stories as well as four novels, including the autobiographical The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, which so far is his only novel for young adults.
Alexie also writes screenplays and participates in readings and concerts. He now lives in Seattle with his wife and two sons.
