Paco gomez fotografias /anglais/espagnol (Relié)

Paco G�mez (Pamplona 1918-Madrid 1998) was one of the most outstanding photographers of the Afal Group (1956-1963) and the so-called School of Madrid, responsible for the renewal of Spanish photography in the 1960s. We might describe him as the poet of wall, vestiges, bare spaces, and small objects. His observant vision of the world is the product of a sensibility rooted in reality yet charged with trascendent symbolic meaning.
This book is published on the occasion of an exhibition at the Fundaci�n Foto Colectania in Barcelona, an organization which since 2001 has safeguarded, administered and disseminated the work of Paco G�mez. The exhibition is the result of intense research by the curator Laura Terr�, a specialist in Spanish photography, and includes some never before published photographs, along with G�mez's more familiar images.
