It's 1944 and twin sisters Peari and Stasha arrive at Auschwitz... Torn away from their family, the girls are confined to the "Zoo", a collection of children selected for experimentation by the infamous Dr Josef Mengele. Their lives soon become a series of unspeakable horrors, Iit up only by the friendships of the other children, and made bearable only because the two sisters have each other. When Pearl suddenly disappears from the camp, Stasha is devastated, but she survives by clinging to the hope that her twin might still be alive.
As the war thunders to an end and Auschwitz is liberated, Stasha steps out into the desolate, wintry, Polish wasteland. Beneath the falling snow and amid the wreckage of a defeated empire, she swears to find either her sister... or her revenge.
