This search for inner peace is contrasted with a deep nostalgia for places and people left behind in settings of two poems from W. B. Yeats, 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree' and 'The Song of Wandering Aengus', as well as Thomas Hardy's 'The Discovery' and Robert Browning's 'The Italian in England'.
