Biographie de Ruth Appelhof
Ruth Appelhof, Ph.D., the author of this book is the Director Emerita of Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York. She earned her Ph.D. from Syracuse University having written her dissertation on America Modernism. Her museum career started at the Whitney Museum as a Helena Rubenstein Fellow. Since then she has directed museums across the country. In 2017 Appelhof was a Visiting Scholar at the American Academy in Rome and from 2017 to 2019, a Fellow at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center.
She and her husband of 22 years, Gary Adamek, live one mile from the Pollock-Krasner House in Springs, where much of her research was conducted.
