Vietnamese literature in the post-war period gradually prospered. By the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st, writers of the young generation were freed from the shackles of a heavy ideology that their predecessors had suffered. Exposed to world literature, young writers' thinking and art became richer and more diverse. Each author found for themselves a new direction, a new way for creativity.
