Descriptions d'article : This series, with excellent traditional illustrations and simple text, is lovely and interesting. These picture-story books tell foreign readers the fairy tales in ancient China. It includes Chang'e Flying to the Moon, Nv Wa Mends the Sky, Jinwei Flying Up the Sea with Pebbles, Kua Fu Races with the Sun, Hou Yi Shoots Down the Suns, Ne Zha Shaking the Seas, Pan Gu Created Heaven and Earth, Hewing the Mountain to Rescue Mother, The Cowherd and the Girl Weaveg Yu the Great Conquered the Flood, Yu Gong Removed the Mountains and Shell Nong's Miracle Herbs.
These fairy tales are about creating earth and heaven. The figures of the tales are very brave. For example, after finishing creating heaven and earth, Pangu's eyes turn into the sun and the moon, head turn into mountains, blood turn into the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, muscles turn into earth, hair turn into woods. Chang'e Flying to the Moon reflects the romantics with the moon. Eating the moon cakes and listening to the story of Chang'e Flying to the Moon is the old custom of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Now China's project of exploring the moon is named Chang'e Project. All these figures are of great importance in China's development. The impact of these figures in China's history is the same as that of that of God in western countries.
