Lier has sketched more than forty portraits of the "Kings of
Jazz". Jazz and drawing have always been the two passions
and means of expression for Christophe Lier.
After studying engineering, he decided to dedicate himself to jazz piano, having already studied with the great masters for several years. He soon ended up in Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong, Beijing), where he spent more than twenty years. During this time he was at the center of a number of musical projects, composing and playing in clubs and festivals…

and guitarist Robin Lynam is the long serving jazz columnist
of Hong Kong’s South China Morning Post newspaper, and
writes for a range of Asian and international publications on
travel, food and drink, and arts and culture. Since the early
1980s he has been based mostly in Hong Kong, and has
commentated on the evolution of jazz in Asia over three
decades.
As a musician he plays mostly blues, with the occasional jazz chord.
