Leo Tolstois Erzählung "Die Kreutzersonate" war die Vorlage zu dem 1947 gedrehten Film "Amanti senza amore", für den Nino Rota die Musik schrieb. Tolstoi wurde durch Beethovens "Kreutzersonate" zu seinem Werk inspiriert, und so besteht auch die Musik zum Film aus Fragmenten dieser berühmten Violinsonate. Besetzung : violin and piano
