For Diener & Diener Architects, residential architecture is the "foremost and single most beautiful" architectural endeavor, as Roger Diener says himself. For the past fourty years, the resulting buildings have been a veritable recherche patiente for the office and have become outstanding exponents of Swiss architecture. This book comprehensively and systematically documents thirty selected projects and discusses their urbanistic and architectural potential.
In their research, the editors Martin Steinmann, Bruno Marchand, and Alexandre Aviolat were able to draw on a wealth of documents from the office as well as on the collected lectures by Roger Diener.
