Biographie de Frank Herbert
Frank Herbert, who died in 1986, is best known for his immensely popular and successful science-fiction novels, but his books include non-fiction works on ecology and home computers as well as contemporary fiction. His classic novel Dune and its sequels have all been world-wide bestsellers, and Dune itself was made into a major film and TV mini-series, with a second film due for adaptation in 2021.
Before turning to writing full time, Herbert was for many years a journalist, holding a senior position on a San Francisco newspaper. His colourful and varied career also included stints as a radio news commentator, oyster diver and jungle survival instructor.
