Biographie de L.M. Montgomery
L.M. Montgomery was born in 1874 and defied many of the conventions for women of that era. She trained to be a teacher, and went on to university — unusual at a time when few women received higher education. Writing was a huge part of her life and all of her experiences influenced her stories, but it was the years she spent on Prince Edward Island that inspired her adventures of the red-headed orphan Anne Shirley.
Hülya Özdemir is an illustrator from Turkey, who describes her style in three words : colour, harmony, sensibility. Her enchanting watercolour portraits of female figures are full of magical surrealism, and bring an imaginative new dimension to the classics.
