Sota Omoigui, MD, is Medical Director of the LA Pain Clinic and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Charles-R Drew University of Science and Medicine in Los Angeles. Dr Omoigui is author of " Sota Omoigui's Pain Drugs Handbook, Second Edition " (Blackwell Science, 1999), " The Anesthesia Drugs Handbook, Second Edition " (Mosby-Year Book, 1995), " The Pain Drugs Handbook " (Mosby-Year Book, 1995), " Pain Relief-The LA Pain Clinic Guide " (State-of-the-Art Technologies, 1998), and " The Universal Drug Infusion Ruler " (State-of-the-Art Technologies, 1995), and he is co-author of the Nigerian national anthem 1978. Dr Omoigu's drug handbooks are used worldwide and have been published in five other languages. Dr Omoigui's research focus is on anesthetic and pain pharmacology, alternative medicine, and development of minimally invasive techniques for neural blockade and relief of chronic pain. He pioneered the technique of audio-capnometry and holds a U-S patent for the audio-capnometer monitor and for the process of continuous noninvasive hemometry (measurement of hemoglobin).
