Who Is Jacob S.C. Smith?

Jacob S. C. Smith is a mean man who lives in isolation on his private Asteroid.  But there is a secret about him that he himself doesn't know. The question is, will he ever know, and how will that secret, if and when it's finally revealed, not only affect him, but all of Earth?
