Where No Grows

It is difficult to say no. No creates turmoil, confusion, and little cracks in the path from where you are to back to where you were. Little changes, tiny ripples, miniscule differeces pile up around the roots of no as it grows until the way back in barred and forward is uncertain. She said no. Then she said it again. And again. It wasn't a big choice, but it had big results.
