These two slipper styles are actually the same pattern but showcase one side of the work or the other. They are easily made with the same basic knitting stitches and if you can make one style, you can make the other! The pattern is for slippers from a men's size 6 to 13 and for a women's 6 to 13. I've also provided direct links in the pattern to videos demonstrating the knitting stitches required if you need a little help.
This pattern gives the instructions specifically for both styles as the stitches change slightly from one style to the other. You will need to know how to pick up stitches and knit on double pointed needles to make the cuff. That may sound intimidating, but really isn't very difficult. Knitting on double pointed needles is the same as regular knitting needles but you don't need to flip your knitting over as you are working around in a circle.
If you're not sure of how to pick up stitches, I have videos demonstrating this technique and many of the other stitches required on my website.

Biographie de Janis Frank

Originally, I started selling finished beaded jewelry on Etsy and was overjoyed when folks started buying it. It further developed into finished slippers, more jewelry and a variety of unique collectibles and antiques. Time and life went on and I created a number of unique slippers, texting mitts and jewelry items that no one else was producing. I became a little bored making the same things over and over and finally decided to create my first tutorial on how to make seed bead bracelets.
That led me down the road of self publishing. Once bitten by the pattern writing and publishing bug I never looked back. I now have a number of patterns, and more in development published with all the major online retailers including Amazon, iTunes, Barnes & Noble, Indigo/Chapters, and more. Amazing what a chick from the prairies can accomplish with a computer, an Internet connection, a little creativity and dare I say, chutzpa ;-)
