Minnie Sherwood wants the best for all her children and is forced through circumstance to find inner strengths she didn't know she had. Angie, her second daughter, leaves Sydney in 1954 for a London that exists only in her mind. When reality strikes, she too must cope and adjust to what life has to offer.
