Touchdowns? Home plate? Quarterback? Infielder? Anything sports might as well have been written in French as far as Alexa Hardin was concerned. When her best friend Cece invites her to watch her boyfriend's college baseball game she starts thinking about how to make a touchdown, or is it a homerun of her own with a certain Hotti McHotterson. Marcus Jacks' mother has had his whole life planned out since he was in little league.
Her goal, for him to make into the majors, and take care of her. A chance meeting has him thinking about following his own dreams instead of his mother's. But Marcus's mother isn't willing to let anything or anyone get in the way of making her dreams a reality, no matter the cost.
