Includes some of his paintings and etchings and snippets of his poems and writings. Records the personal history of the Lebanese poet and painter, vividly recreating his personality and philosophy. Author of this book, Barbara Young, was an art and literary critic at the New York Times early in the 20th century, and a poet.
She met Kahlil Gibran at a reading of his work The Prophet and became his personal secretary and confidante from 1925 until his death in 1931.
