During World War Two British Bomber Command crews suffered terrifying casualty rates. There was a forty-four percent fatality rate. My grandfather, Donald Stemp, flew amongst all those brave young men that gave their lives so we could live the life we now have. This short story is a small segment of my imagination of what he might have experienced. Reading it will give you perspective on the brotherhood of men at war.
