The Trails of Handsome Hawkins

After losing his home and his parents in a rockslide in the mountains overlooking Gatlinburg, Tennessee, Handsome Hawkins would ride many trails in the West. He would even cross an ocean, wondering all the time how he would find his way back, for the sea holds no trails. The most important trail of his life would be to find his only real love, a girl he had left behind, unsure then of his love for her or hers for him.
Now, he knew, though, and no matter where the trail led, he must find her and claim her as his own.
