Biographie de Oliver Dean Spencer

I'm a Canadian author, presently residing in Montreal, Canada. Much of my writing derives its stylistic inspiration from film noir and the hard-boiled P. I. pulp serials from the 30's and 50's. Some of my favourite authors include Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Ross MacDonald, Edgar Allan Poe and Phillip K. When I'm not developing fiction under my pen name, my primary occupation is that of a visual and media artist.
I've been painting with oils for over a forty year period. I've created some 500 paintings, and 1, 200 sketches during this time. Many of my works are in private and international collections. I received my (MFA) Master of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Arts from the University of Ottawa in 2010. I received my (BFA) Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Concordia University, Montreal (2008).
