THE ATONEMENT KILLER IS MURDERING YOUNG WOMEN across Interstate 40, and all the FBI has is a tenuous profile-a religious zealot bent on ritualistic sacrifice. However, when a small town female cop, JOLENE DYKES, crosses paths with the killer, the FBI at last has an eyewitness. However, Jolene has no faith in the FBI and decides to stalk the killer across the interstates-alone and pregnant-to administer her own version of atonement.
