When Dr. Joanna Bereza, a psychiatric intern, tries to stop an arrogant psychiatrist from shocking her patients: a mute young mother and a feisty old woman, she risks her career and the love of her life. Joanna's obsession to do what's right blinds her to problems at home. Complicating matters is the seductive senior resident who looks more like a rock star than an aspiring shrink. The Rubber Fence was inspired by the author's work as a family therapist on a psychiatric ward.
Diana Stevan is the award-winning author of Sunflowers Under Fire.
