The day after graduating high school in June 2020, Worthy's life took a dark turn. A secret tunnel he stumbled upon as a child in the Arizona desert had haunted his thoughts for years. For the first time, he confided in his best friend, Bobby, about the ancient tunnels buried deep within restricted government land. Assuring Bobby he knew a secret way in, they set out with Bobby's cousin and Worthy's younger brother, James, to document what they believed would be the discovery of a lifetime.
But as day turned to night, the thrill of exploration gave way to terror. They weren't alone. Something of unimaginable evil was not only there but guarding the secrets beneath the surface. The events that followed left Worthy with the weight of survivor's guilt, convinced that it was all over. Or so he thought. Seven years later, on Halloween night 2027, the past comes roaring back. Worthy is warned by an old friend that the evil that once hunted them has returned.
Now a blue-collar worker, Worthy has kept his silence, trying to move on, yet knowing deep down that the darkness has never truly left him.
