Biographie de James Fenimore Cooper
James Fenimore Cooper was one of the most popular American writers of the 19th century. Part of his work is based on the stories of the North Indians. "The Last of the Mohicans", his most famous novel, has seen many reprints and has been adapted several times for the cinema.
He also wrote many novels about the sea, such as "The Sea Skimmer" (The Water Witch, 1830). But his work is of uneven quality and his novel "The American Democrat" (1835) earned him a lawsuit.
