That man provided her with notebooks full of information about his time as a slave in another dimension, and he also provided her with something she hadn't dared to hope for.
He gave her the amulet he'd used to get back home. An amulet that was capable of opening portals to five different dimensions, including the one where Jarrod's family were being held in slavery, along with many others. With this ability now in hand, they set off on their first forays into the Faranox dimension with the goal of securing an amulet for each member of the team, after which, the planning and execution of the rescue mission will finally commence.
