Charlie Glasgow was born and raised next to the Missisippi River in a town known as Quincy, Illinois. The phantom train runs through Sidney, Iowa, but the mine does exist outside of Gravity as well as the many dead who were buried at the bottom of the mine.     Professor William Bates is a fictional character from the Viking Lake book and will pop up from time to time in different stories.  Keep  your eye out for other new books being released later in the year.
