The Gift

The gift of a cottage in rural New Zealand enables Delphine Billings to finally escape her abusive husband. The death of a neighbour whom she had never met allows her to meet Dan Carter a worthy man, whose own family has suffered more than their fair share of tragedy. Just when everything seems to be coming together her world implodes.  Delphine is forced to return home to see her dying mother and in her absence events and well-meaning people conspire against her.
