The Disquiet of Solitude

Josiah is a faithful minister of God's word and a proud father preparing his son to be the same. The Smith family has successfully passed this life path on from father to son for generations. It is a tradition that Josiah would do almost anything to ensure it continues. Anything, including making a decision that will set his family on a course toward tragedy and test his son Elijah unimaginably.   Fate finds Elijah Smith when he is somewhere between being the boy he is and the man he is to become.
Adding to Elijah's challenge is the fact that he suddenly finds himself all alone in an unknown wilderness. Can Elijah overcome the threats that find him while in this solitude? Will he give into fear and become lost in the wilderness, or will Elijah call upon the Holy Spirit to be his guide?   "My goal in telling this story was to express how finding and accepting Jesus will keep an individual from ever knowing solitude.
