Jessie Rossen, a simplistic freelance photographer, is at a crossroads in life despite having a thriving career and a handsome fiancé, Walt Arbol Jr., who is heir to a publishing empire. The morning after their extravagant engagement party, she goes for a jog to sort her thoughts, unsure if she's worthy enough to marry into a wealthy family. Taking a break from running, she enters a coffee shop and meets the owner, a "Jamaican Queen." The queen senses Jessie's frustration and has just the coffee to cure what ails her.
Soon after, Jessie sees an abandoned farmhouse on fire with children inside. She doesn't hesitate to rescue them before the roof collapses and plunges her into darkness. When Jessie wakes from her coma, Walt is by her side. His heart shatters when she calls out another man's name. What's harder to fathom is when she insists she lived in a different world and needs to get back to help Jezero, a warrior who protected her from the evil Morlorns.
