Adhiambo faced racism being the only black child in her class. Being a bright and brilliant girl she always emerged as the top pupil. Despite of her shy nature, at some point, she feels discriminated andkeeps that to herself before her parents discover how reserved shegrows to be and all alone every time. They seek to know. She also has a gift in creative arts making sculptures out of simpletools like wood, clay and paper materials as the best pupil beating allthe rest in her class; this results in an opportunity of sponsorship andbeing recognized worldwide in her fight against racism. She makesdolls and idols to signify the African children and culture. She iscreative by painting them black.
