The Artists of Wildwood Canyon

This is a heartwarming and thought provoking, contemporary story of six artist/musician friends who together, each in their own unique and insightful manner, support each other through the struggles and joys of pursuing their dreams.  Together, they weather the storms that come as a result of putting yourself out there, including fear of success, addiction, mental illness, politics, aging in the public eye and of course, death.
Based in part on a true story.  When Lauren was young she had the hope of becoming an artist but then her parents talked her into law school so she could get a "real job." However, when the global financial crisis hit, Lauren lost her job as an attorney. With no available work for her in the legal field she sees this as an opportunity to follow her passion and try her hand at painting portraits for musicians.
She then meets five other artists: Heather, a jazz singer; Lizbeth, an illustrator; Jasmine, a folk rock singer, songwriter; Amber an actress; and Josie, a saxophone musician. Together, they form a lasting friendship, and weather the storms that come as a result of putting yourself out there, including fear of success, addiction, mental illness, politics, aging in the public eye and of course death.
