Who vouches for the new railway? - The answer is: it is faith! This is what it says in an anonymous resettler poem from 1939, which is kept in the Latvian State Archives together with several others. It reminds us that religiosity does not only appear in the form of religions and denominations, but much more frequently in everyday life, even in historical documents.
