Derek Pew, age 58. Derek is a thought leader in the world of digital currencies. An accomplished investment banker and securities lawyer, Derek became a serial social entrepreneur in 1998 building companies in the areas of wireless access to provide digital divide solutions, cultural performing arts digital distribution, youth development through video gaming, and is currently focused on global uses of digital currencies. Working on cutting edge solutions and building and managing companies in those spaces, Derek became aware of a number of personal traits that were limiting his effectiveness as a business leader and sought out a CEO coach that led him to a meditation practice used by the Central Intelligence Agency.
Derek used that practice to identify and reduce the impact of self-imposed limitations, and work towards existing in an intuitive state that supported effective manifestation and creation in his work and personal life. Without any intention to write a book, the significant realizations that came from this practice flowed out of Derek like a song  in the form of the manuscript he is submitting.  Derek believes that everyone should read what he has written because it will give them a better perspective reality that allows them to live a more complete life.
A graduate of Dartmouth College with honors in Economics, and a graduate of The Law School of the University of Pennsylvania, Derek has served on numerous charitable boards including: MANNA, The Greene Town School, The Agnes Irwin School, The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and The Law School of the University of Pennsylvania. When not working, Derek spends his time with his wife and two adult daughters, travels, plays in two rock bands, surfs, plays squash and tennis, skis and attempts to resurrect his golf game.
