Elaine Royal has inherited the job of protecting five people who were cursed by a demon three hundred year ago. The demon meant them to suffer and die. However, the curse went wrong and the people became immortals. They also turn invisible in sunlight, which is why they need a protector, a normal human who can take care of the many problems that arise. However, demons have recently arrived in Seattle and want the sunspinners to leave, alive or dead.
