She had a grown son, and thus had no reason to go into battle, but she did anyway. #4 Piracy was more accepted in ancient times than it is today because it was more like intertribal warfare than nationless piracy. Acts of warfare, unlike acts of piracy, are generally accepted as legitimate in most times and countries.
