States Magic United: Hawaii

60 years ago, magic suddenly appeared in the United States of America. No one knows where itcame from or how the phenomenon started. At first people merely used their newfound powersfor fame and fortune. They used it to impress their friends and family members, make videosonline, and perform shows. They became celebrities, but soon after some people found out theycould use their magic abilities for crime and power.
Normal weapons and law enforcementcouldn't handle most of the people with magic, so some individuals and gangs rose inprominence. Soon the United States of America became divided into territories ruled by dictatorswith the strongest magic abilities. The government tried to enact new laws, rules, andregulations, but nothing worked. It was the dawn of a new age for America.
