Her debut novel, "The Supreme Witch's Prophecy, " was inspired by a particularly eventful ghost tour that ended with a runaway jazz funeral and a suspiciously sentient bowl of jambalaya. Scarlett swears on a stack of beignets that at least 13% of the magical shenanigans in her books are based on true events. The rest? Well, that's just the spirit of New Orleans working its magic. Scarlett lives in a charmingly haunted cottage in the Marigny, where she writes her novels with a steady supply of café au lait and the occasional interruption from local spirits and overly enthusiastic street performers.
She firmly believes that life is too short for bad coffee, boring books, or sensible shoes.
