Soul-Healing Through Existentialism: Mending Our Relationship with the Earth

Existentialism emphasizes the inherent freedom of human existence. We are not pre-programmed beings with a predetermined purpose.  Instead, we are thrown into existence, forced to navigate a world devoid of inherent meaning.  This lack of inherent meaning can be a source of profound anxiety, a feeling captured in the concept of the absurd.  However, existentialists argue that this very absurdity presents an opportunity.  Without a preordained script, we are free to create our own meaning, to define ourselves through our choices and actions.
