Biographie de BILL FLOCKHART
Hello, I'm Bill Flockhart and Operation Large Scotch is the first book in the Operation Large Scotch Series which I first published in 2017. I only took up writing when I retired from financial services where I was a business development manager. I wrote my first book secretly and delivered copies to my family for their Xmas. I got tremendous pleasure in being able to produce a novel at the age of seventy-one but it has acted as a catalyst for me to go ahead and publish three more books.
My second novel She's Not a Lovely Girl is a sequel to the first book and it is followed by Joppa Rocks and Vengeance In Valescure with a fifth book coming out later this year. I have enjoyed finding the writing bug which has come at an important time in my life when my golf, which I have been addicted to most of my life is deteriorating rapidly. Good thrillers have always had a fascination for me and I would list my favourite authors as John Buchan, Frederick Forsythe, Alistair McLean, Wilbur Smith and John Le Carre, I live on the east end of Edinburgh only a few hundred yards from the sea which inspired the title of my third book Joppa Rocks which was nominated at the 2021 Bloody Scotland Book Festival for the Pitch Perfect event.
I have been married to Joyce for forty-seven years and we have two sons Campbell and Grant who in earlier years represented Scotland at basketball. Sport plays a big part in the Flockhart household but in my case mostly as a spectator being seen at Heart of Midlothian football matches where I am a season ticket holder,
