Biographie de Taras Chubenko, DMin
Dr. Taras Chubenko, embarked on his spiritual quest more than 50 years ago. Born in Ellwangen, Germany, in 1946, he immigrated to the US in 1951. Chubenko holds degrees from Penn State University, St. Sophia Seminary, and St. Petersburg Theological Seminary, along with many certifications in various disciplines. He served as a Pastor, Diocesan Administrator, and Seminary professor for over 40 years, was Elected to the Board of Education for 9 years and served as its president, he also served as chair of the Ethics Board and Housing Authority.
His diverse experiences include serving in the US Army as a Microwave Sight Chief in South Korea. Dr. Chubenko is also a licensed private pilot and a certified hypnotist, running various businesses before dedicating his life to serve as a parish priest. Dr. Chubenko has been a lecturer on spirituality, mysticism, religion, and Masonry for five decades. Married for over 56 years and helping raise four sons, he also served as a chaplain for fire and police departments in New Jersey and was honored as Man of the Year in Carteret, NJ.
At 74, Chubenko pursued and was licensed as a funeral director in Florida, where he currently resides, caring for his wife with Alzheimer's until her untimely death in September of 2023.
