Biographie de R. Eric Swanepoel
R. Eric Swanepoel is an Edinburgh-born and -based writer who grew up in Zimbabwe and South Africa. He has lived in Paris and worked all over Great Britain as a veterinarian, has taught English to speakers of other languages and holds an M. Sc. in ecology and a Ph. D. in ecotoxicology (he studied the effects of roofing timber treatments on bats). Eric worked as a researcher and office manager for a Member of the Scottish Parliament for four years and was a member of the committee of the Society of Authors in Scotland for three.
He helps people with their biographies and co-wrote and published Angela Bayley's 'Disruptive', described by Rostrum magazine as 'an invaluable resource, really important for practitioners in child protection'. He currently works for the environmental charity Earth in Common, of which he was a founding board member in 2013. Eric admits to being 'Josh Artmeier', the author of the controversial book about the veterinary profession 'Pet Hates, The Shocking Truth About Pets and Vets', published by Argyll in 2006.
