It's over. The thought couldn't leave me alone. It's over. He's gone. I immediately chided myself for thinking that way. It wasn't over. It couldn't be. Then why isn't he here?The little voice in my head wouldn't let go. Tom is never late. The voice in my head was right. Tom wasn't the type of guy to step back on a promise. He told me that he would meet me here-and he would never back down on that commitment, no matter what else was going on his life.
