During weekly music recitals at my school, students and faculty are exposed to a variety of types of music and performers, from classical to Texas Swing and jazz, and from student musician to professional. The poems I draft during those performances and edit later, I hope, give readers a chance to experience the characters and ideas which come to mind as I listen to (usually) great music and watch people experience performances.
This is the second book in an ongoing series. The first is "The Paper Sessions, " which were composed on the programs for each recital. Each poem in this volume, "The Digital Sessions, " was written first on my iPad or iPhone.
