Pilgrim’s Purse: Uncommon Synths

After M. J.'s surprise declaration, someone gets cold feet and dashes off for a year and a day while Syd breaks a leg in the process, ruining the punch line but gaining temporary visitation rites for sie's trouble. In the meantime, the world is turned upside down, shaken vigorously, and offered the equivalent of a cocktail umbrella as a consolation prize: the third hand on the clock is called secondhand to remind us that we're always living on borrowed time.
